Our party today was a great success in terms of numbers. We weren't sure how many would show but the small church room was full of people happily meeting each other and eventually singing Christmas carols in English and Japanese, and listening to a great gospel message by Shuichi Sensei.
We really enjoyed the day - Joyce even managed to keep food from exploding from her system :) but she was very very tired by tonight.
Tomorrow we have prayer and debrief with Shuichi, then we head outside to finish the gate and fence we have been mending. At 1:14pm we board the train for Osaka, aiming to get to Kansai airport a long time before flights are due to depart (the first is at 8:55pm for Serene, Ruth and myself). Jono and Joyce will board flights bound for Singapore and Thailand respectively.
Pray that our trip here will have been encouraging for the Kitamuras and for Kinomoto Church. Pray that as the team disperses we will finish well and continue in the thinking process about our time in Japan.
