END OF THE JOURNEY?

Wow, almost end of FOCUS in Japan 2008.
The end of the physical journey but the spiritual impact will last long for all of us hopefully.
Three weeks flew by but it felt like we've been in Japan for ages.
This week has been a whirlwind of activities.
From taking the overnight train, to moving into our homestays, preparing for church events and the boys doing some wood work and the girls doing leaflet and food preparation.

Some personal reflections :
1. Only 8 Christians in a populaton of 30,000. That number blew my mind away.
2. A smile and a nod will get you far. (Especially when you have no knowledge of the language)
3. People need to know God.

Some highlights of the week:
1. Homestays!
2. Scenery around lake Biwa
3. Amazing food by our home stays and Elaine and Shuichi.
4. Time out with the team ( i miss not being squished together and the late night giggles).
5. Japanese tea ceremony
6. Being able to meet the people at Kinamoto church and seeing them being genuinely encouraged by us just being there.
7. Meeting Tomoyuki and Keichi (spelling?) who were at FOCUS in 2007.

I kept one juicy bit for the end...

Jono's amazing power over Japanese women continues. A lady requested for Jono's picture...... (ask him for more details!)

Ah...and Dene is a hit with housewives too.
