Welcome

Hello and welcome to the blogspot of FOCUS in Japan '08!

As you can probably gather from the random posts already on the page, the team is still figuring out how to use the blogs ;) There's less than 4 weeks to go, though, and we're all really excited!

The team: Dene and Rachel, Jono, Serene, Ruth and Joyce (and Eliott and Simeon!)

Stuff to be praying for right now:

- the exchange rate is still down (1 AUD -> 64 yen) as opposed to (1 AUD -> 90 yen) - pray for wisdom as we sort out stuff on a smaller budget

- basic language learning

- end of year assignments and exams

- the people we're going to be meeting in Japan (especially our non-Christian billets in Biwako) and the churches as they gear up to Christmas

- planning exactly what we're going to be doing in Japan

- SPRTE: the speakers, the students from all over Australia and South Pacific -preparation for the speakers and that lots of students will be able to come!
